About The Christian Center: More than 2,300 area children ages 5 to 18 will enjoy Youth Athletics at The Christian Center this year, not to mention the countless adults throughout the community who have been impacted by their programming. Services at The Christian Center are offered regardless of ability to pay. The Christian Center’s baseball fields have seen continual use for many years and are showing advanced wear and tear. 

About The Project: The replacement of four dugouts on two fields, batting cages, and purchase of a digital scoreboard will help provide a place to foster sportsmanship and build unity among team. 

About Chef Joshua Lanning: Joshua Lanning's formidable career has included time at legendary Noma in Copenhagen; sous chef at Michelin three-starred SingleThread in Healdsburg, California; and culinary director for Chef Sean Brock in Nashville. With a dream now to impact the culinary and social scene in his hometown of Peoria, Joshua is not merely trading haute tweezers for well-worn tongs. Rather, he is answering his calling, and arguably, his destiny.

About Wine Expert Hugh Higgins: Hugh Higgins has worked extensively in both the restaurant and wine & spirits industries for decades prior to opening his Peoria Heights resturant, Hearth, in 2013. His passion and knowledge for food and drink, especially when paired to complement one another, shines through to Hearth's patrons, as well as, when he offers his expert nose and pallet for wine tastings at special events around Central Illinois.
